Most Wonderful Time of the Year! {Cliche I know- BUT!}

Christmas in Connecticut

Dig that crazy shape!! (Circa 1980)

I have a BIG Birthday coming up NEXT YEAR - so I started looking through some pictures and came across highlights of Christmases decades ago!

Shout out to Sears and Roebuck Catalog the size of a phone book where I would circle items I wanted Santa to bring.  Yes, we would cut down our own tree and now looking at the pictures I see these trees were not at all symmetrical  and a bit woolly - LOL - But before seeing this picture I would have told you that it was the perfect shape.

Some of the ornaments you see on this tree are still my favorites although we have upped the game a bit -  Christopher Radko, Waterford and a White House ornament are each on the tree -  so long as they fit the theme - Last year it was red and gold - this year I think Red, Green, Gold and Rose Gold (is that too much??)   And next year - I have some crazy ideas - we'll have to see!

I’ll post pictures of the holiday decorations and the progress of my tree this year to hopefully get you in the spirit  - in the meantime - why not order some cookies to your mix for yourself or as a gift! The bite sized nature makes the shortbread a not too sweet snack or nibble perfect for while you decorate the tree, wrap gifts or simply sit by the fire.  I cannot recommend the chocolate shortbread (Regular or Spicy) enough - once you try them I think you will become a fan.  Leave them for Santa and you'll be his favorite for YEARS to come!

Check in here on Small Business Saturday for the reveal of  some wine pairings that go especially well specifically with these chocolate delights.  A special offer beginning on Black Friday will be shared here! Looking forward to connecting!
